OUR PROJECT: THE EUROPEAN DREAM

Comenius Youth Forum is a project which aims at motivating the students to become more interested in the democratic, economic and cultural development of their country as well as other European countries.
The project partners have formed a Comenius Youth Forum with student members from each participating school, i..e. from Spain, Hungary, Italy, Denmark, The Netherlands and Sweden. This is a collaboration among secondary schools, which is financed by the European Union. The subject is democracy and how we young adults see it, and what we think about it. It lasts for 2 years, and during these two years we have 4 conferences, each held in different countries. The aim is to get to know more about democracy and anything related to it, like supplementary subjects as human/student rights, extremist movements, rise of nationalism, minorities and migration. We work in groups and try to learn as much as possible about the challenges of democracy in the EU. We take a closer look at the present political, social and economic situation in the involved countries, so that we would have a better understanding of as well as influence on the possible future. There must be a sort of output, like videos, mindmaps or posters by the end of the last conference and the project.

"It is such a great experience! Because of this, we know a lot more about the European countries." - Hanna Cseh (Hungary)
